Im thinking my rev swing is due to the amount of trim and how im running into the wind. It very well could be my tach as well, i saw it climb to 7500 rpm yesterday with my 24 cleaver which wasnt right. Id say it is closer to 6500-6600 most of the time.

I tried out a couple of 23 cleavers today, had good results with the big diameter one. Ran 72.1 mph, didnt get a great look at the tach on that pass but i think it was around 66-6800. The small diameter prop ran 7500 rpm plus but no speed lol.

The boat feels super stable and is only a touch flighty into the wind. Id love to get 73-75 of it the way the motor is now without having to run race fuel through it

Sounds like you're getting it dialed in nicely. 72 is not a bad number at all.

Yeah im very happy with the motor and boat. I havent really done much in setup once i got the motor dropped down the first run. Im thinking i might try get the motor up an 1/16" or 1/8" on the setback, but that would probably be after get the prop worked. My 24 probably has a bit more in it, which prop shop would you guys recommend? Kawartha prop repair?

I hear Kawartha does good work, Hydromotive Engineering may be worth looking up as they have 3 generations of family racing these boats and they are fast! What height is your engine at right now? Where is the centre of the prop shaft to the bottom of your boat?

Off the top of my head, i think the center of the prop shaft is about 1/2" below the pad. I will get a measurement when im at the boat this week

It would appear that my prop shaft is about 1" below the pad. I ran the 23 cleaver again today and hit 72.1 multiple times but never past it

Must be getting cold out there, I put my Delta away 2 weeks ago.
68 is best I got all summer. Funny thing is all I wanted was to hit 65 and I ended getting 68. You would think I would of been content but you always want more. LOL
