It was around the time i first got the boat and i figured it was dirty carbs. It wasn't. Then i played with the main jets, It had hydro tec heads on it and i got some extra jets with the boat so i figured maybe it had never been jetted properly. Then it slowly went rich again so i took the prime start unit apart to see if it could be it.

Is there any acceleration to be had by advancing the timing? Or do you just get speed holes in the piston? I set it to 22 degrees. Running 94 chevron.

I think 23deg is stock....but you can go 25deg on the lake. I'm not sure how much farther with out speed holes occurring lol.
