My uncle is looking at a J-Craft with a Yamaha on it, not sure what it is. Tag is "V6 spcl j, 667 l 30189" I'm thinking its a mid-eighties V-6 Special, 225 hp. Who knows fer shore? TIA |

predecessor to the excell, great motors Mike. I would do the mikuni oil pump upgrade if he is going to keep the oil injection if the motor is otherwise solid. |

Mike, it is a V6 Special. They were rated at 220+ hp. I have one on my STV. Not the quickest but it is reliable. |
