Yes...I was holding one on Thursday night....it clamps to the steering tube to activate the trim sender..

I just ordered a new one today, the original plastic one has been broken for years...I was told the new one will be an updated metal one, so, I suspect it will be like the one in the photo. I finally got tired of the trim indicator flashing in my face on the tach!!

What is its purpose? For a minute my hopes were up that it was a cheap sender....no such luck as that is what I have that is popped.

On the new trim pumps it moves the sender arm...and it's adjustable for accuracy...so Mitch can watch it go off the scale lol.

I have lots of you style of senders...just remind me...I'll give you a case.

Sweet. Now you're talking. I found the source of popped senders too - dip switches on the multi gauge. They be set wrong.

We have been using those for years, they seem to do the trick for those cracked plastic ones.
