The AE should love the weight. Has the boat gone fast in the past? Is it solid and straight?

How high is the motor and what setback are you using? A lot of guys with these boats are running big setback with success.

at what RPM

I always try to relate a speed with RPM and prop pitch. Being that all 3 are closely related - only saying 1 or 2 of the 3 numbers doesn't give enough info to try and figure out what is happing.

Then you can start to try and develop a pattern with the addition of engine height and trim. There are a lot of factors to consider. Missing 1 part can send you off on a witch hunt.

What he means is that is the hull straight (i.e. not twisted or other problems in the hull that would reduce speed potential).

First thing we need from you Charlie is the propshaft height. With the motor trimmed so the propshaft is parallel to the bottom of the centre hull bottom, measure from the centreline of the psopshaft to the bottom surface of the centre hull. more rpm and no more speed is probably too much trim, the ae with that prop should like all the height you can get with that plate.get us that measurement and we will start from there.

X2. Again. Part of my original question. Those hulls seem to like the motors up and back, let us know where it's at so we're not pissing in the wind here lol
