Found it, 90+ with a 15" xr6 with a sportmaster.

You know it's strange but I can't seem to view the link

I remember Mark saying it wasn't set up for those speeds so he didn't really push his luck with top end. He ran 90 and that was good enough lol. I would bet that carbon boat with a hot V4 (like a certain yamaha on SF) would put up a good number.

I vote for Mike's (Talonkid) 12" 2L!!! ;) or Riverman's old OMC V4....Yamaha (booo)

If I remember Mark was only running single cable steering with the XR4

:?: I wonder if those speeds were with a race prop or a top end only prop. If a race prop that accelerates well, look out everyone without one. Can you imagine what speeds will be reached on a 13ft. Crith or Ally.

I just read on facebook that the new Carbon fibre Tuff 16 and Formula race 60 Merc hit 64 mph on GPS!

I think this motor might have more potential than we thought...

Wow, Wow Wow.. Power head is the same of regular 60, only mid is 15''... They run a class in Europe with tunnel boat... Fast for a 60.... Tuff 16 and a realy nice boat.. Nice you have a Tuff... JP

Your a good guy Paul 8-) ... But ya it would be an interesting combo for sure, I don't think the ally will be anything to scoff at though either.
