Welcome Whipper... Would be real curious too see how a GS would run with a 300X or XS  I am sure that there are a couple out there who have tried :P

More power!!! The Yammi's are putting up some impressive numbers here in Ontario, you should give one a try :)

Nice to see you Whipper. And yes x2 on your GS being a really nice boat!

Thanks guys. Yes there is only one guy Ive talk to about this. He had a 300PM on his with Simon mods about 330hp. he ran a 32 to 110-112mph. I think ProComp knew him also? He loved her he said but wanted more speed and bought a HTM with 1400+hp and now does 140ish+ 8-)

Im not saying thats a target but at least I know he said it works and caried a load real well. He said it accually like 4 in the boat over 100 better than solo. Im just looking to upgrade without the hassel of rebuilding every 150hrs and have HP. A 260 would be sweet but we really like water sports also and the Promax isnt up to going 30mph or less without getting hot and the 260 Im sure even worse!! Im sure the touque of the new motors would be perfict for this and setup right still haul the mail to 100 if I wanted to. The only real problem with the BB on these is the lip on the pad. It raises the hull so far up at the stern to get the hull flat running that comming off with a big prop and no ratcheting gearcase might drop the bow so fast she may hook? Thats whats happen to a couple of guys. one guy barrel rolled. i understand that and I have removed my lip on mine so she rides more like a normal pad vee. Ive tested her at 90mph turning the key off at least 50 times with no ill effects. Mind you thats with a ratcheting gearcase? i know before I did this I had to be ginger comming off. So Im hoping if Im just carfull it wont be to much of an issue when I set her up. Theres lots of XB2003 bass boats with 250xs now and they have the exact same hull as the Grand Sport. They all love the Big blocks:] im looking forward to somthing differant. Ive had this motor on for going on 9 years now. Its getting a little old hat. Need a change of power and setup to get the juices flowing again.
