Plug the top hole on either side , with jb weld etc. or silicone, and move up to 2" under the pad, if you have a plate on now and can get it up, you will not believe the difference this will make. Steve |

Nope no plate lol probably wont happen until after we run the boat all next summer, but plugging the top hole is probably a good idea. We currently have a bit a paint burning off the lower unit right around the top hole. |

This week im going to pull the lower mounts on my long shaft parts motor and see if i can make a set up on the lathe at school. |

good idea, they are a fairly simple part, looks on the Bobs machine site and you can get an idea as well. |
