Many people on this site refer to their outboard as being a stock motor. Example OMC Formula E , Yamaha 70CES , Yamato 80 etc. in a stock motor race class each motor has a Document with all of the spec measurements of that motor. It was an interesting study when I checked into the past history of racers modifying the 42 cubic inch Yamaha triple. Racers in Mod D hydro were messing with them as were the thundercat (SLT) boys. There were many SLT drivers running different outboards.....tohatsu 50 hp.....Yamaha 70 hp....OMC SST 60 . Both stock and mod versions. With the new 4 stroke motors coming to stock outboard we are starting to see the first wood sit in seat runabouts. O’Connor Racing hydroplane have one available. It is sold by Richmond Aero Marine. T Class original concept was to get many makes and models of 2 and 4 stroke outboards into the class as possible. And to be able to adjust as newer models came on the market.
