I can imagine there are diminishing returns at various points.. And that "extra" effort here an there that isn't typical (like the cowl).. It is very cool that you are documenting that project. Only reports of Yamaha 70 speeds I've seen on our side of the pond are a factory stock 70CES at ...

ok I pulled out a clutch and fwd gear to see what's what.
I had been looking at it backwards. The GearPros one makes sense now.
The ramp is on the trailing side of the dog - so it'll start to fall in to the gear sooner.

That's what I was thinking, Thom.. So I hope someone can explain why it would be better with that "relief ramp"..

I replaced an older clutch dog in my lower because of those same worn areas.
