Here are some pics of trim indicators. One for tabs and one for the motor. Just made out of lawnmower throttle cables. Will need to add a third, when I finish my hydraulic lift swivel bracket. The top cable is for engine trim and the bottom is for tabs. The zero represents neutral (parallel to the b... |

The link seems to work for me. Not sure why LittleCharger is having problems. HeviKevi. Start by putting a ball on your tungsten by setting your machine to dc+ and striking an arc on a piece of copper. Do it any time your electrode gets contaminated. Clean the work well too. Sometimes it’s hard to s... |

I have thought about the dampener and shock cords. But I am looking more to eliminate the problem. I was hoping someone would have experience in shaping the skeg. I am working on getting the propshaft higher. I am concerned about cooling right now. Just waiting for water pressure and cylinder head t... |

I am experimenting with a 30hp omc with a tiller handle on an 11’ vee bottom. The prop shaft is about 2” below the bottom of the boat. I have a 10.375x18” mercury chopper propeller running 44-45mph right now. I have to counteract a fair amount of force on the tiller (boat steers to the right). I had... |

Don. Great idea about the open concept. My hull is very similar. The problem I have encountered running a tiller handle is having the balance so far aft and causing porpoising. I put trim tabs on which solved the problem but they do induce drag. I am currently moving the fuel tank and battery forwar... |

Saw Hevi kevi’s post on a 12” mid section for a 3cyl omc. Very nice work. Here is the start of my attempt to make a 13.5” (3.5” shorter than a stock short shaft) midsection for a omc 31.8ci engine. Any suggestions are welcome. I haven’t figured out what to do with the drive shaft yet. Maybe a floati... |

Just in the process of turning my lower unit in to a low water pick up. It a Johnson/evinrude 20/25/30/35hp. Used a 12" long 1/4" drill bit to drill the holes into the water jacket. I will have to make plates to block off the old pick up location but still leave it access for the shift lin... |

Here is a pic of planing a 30hp Johnson cylinder head in a dewalt thickness planer. Started with a badly warped head. Flattened it and took 0.060" off the business side. Turned out very well. http://i1250.photobucket.com/albums/hh533/Arltralite/95932C19-1820-4F56-9320-5B8E8FD93BED_zpssiwyyzm0.jpg |

Here are some pics of putting lightening holes into the tiller extension. I used a 1-1/4",1-1/8",1" and 7/8" forstner bits in a cordless drill. I don't have the luxury of a drill press. A little wd40 for lubricant because that's what was on the bench. It took 35 mins to drill the... |
