Welcome to the forum Zach. My biggest piece of advice is to have fun with it. You'll get some great experience running in the rough to start. T750 has some of the best sorted race boats on the water so you'll be in the back for awhile. Don't let that discourage you...use that time to learn how to ru...

When i read this back to myself it sounded cocky lol. When I said I have all the faith in the world ...

Tom's 60 is for real in terms of top end but it's definitely harder to get settled and acceleration is a bit off due to the weight (of both the boat and the motor likely). Yeah, I'd have to agree that the torque curve is completely different between the F60 Mec and the 2stroke Yamaha 70, even if th...

I don't think I have a really good back to back comparison to take meaningful conclusions from.. Setup has evolved over the past few years, and the 70hp motor I use on the Voodoo is now a different motor than when I first ran it with a large case. (if I remember correctly, prev owner ran a Yamaha d...

New rules will be out soon. One nice highlight for T-750 is age lowered to 12! Conditional approval of 12-15 year old racers. Specific documentation is required to race within an OPBRA closed course event. If you could get enough 12-15 year olds interested it would be nice to have a separate 40hp c...

David didn't mention racing...if it's a lake boat and you want new power there are next to no 2-stroke choices. If it's me I'd still be looking for the last yamaha 70 2-stroke or a 90 if you want to terrify your friends lol.

Yamaha 70 4-stroke or one of those etec things (come with free paddles if you buy at the boat show!!)

The little 70 should be very comparable to any of the stock 60/702-strokes and has a reasonably small gearcase.
