You may need a few drinks before taking one of these rides. I remember seeing one skier/ ski boat racers on a race course but that was discontinued as being too dangerous. Close ups of those skiers showed the fin on the ski was barely touching the water. The skier was flying. Love to see how these t...

The CTTboat would still have narrow pads on each side of the tunnel so it is still a V hull with a pad. The tunnel structure makes the hull stronger especially in the bow section where the hull normally crack. The top of the tunnel becomes the floor on the inside so you can bolt your seat, battery e...

Picture this...a critchfield with an 8 to 10 inch wide, 4 inch deep tunnel that replaces the full length running pad in the boat.
Think about it....what would that change do to the boats performance?

In Ontario races we saw the first OMC powered critchfield in 1987. I believe it was an American boat. In prior years our EP class winners were usually a 650XS/delta and a OMC/vixen. The Voodoo’s first production year was 1987. We did see some competitive performances occasionally by Voodoo hulls in ...

Several future Hall of Fame drivers testing their tunnels in this OMC film. Mercury had their tower of power inline 6 cylinder motors vs OMC V4 motors.....motors were 100 cubic inch.

I remember reading about these races several years ago. The boats appear to be all the same. They’re a double hull design modified to have a steering wheel. They race them long courses that include a right bend turn. Motors appear to be stock . https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zAQj52mKXBE https://www...
